New Food & Drink Policy

From the desk of Terry Hawkins (Chief, Reader Services Division):

"Covered Beverage Containers will be permitted in all public areas of the AU Library except the Special Collections Room and near the "public" computer workstations. Food and Snacks are still not permitted in any of the public areas of the AU Library. AUL staff should consume food and/or snacks in the Staff Lounge or private office areas out of sight of Library customers. Consuming food or snacks at the circulation desks, reference desks, or staff workstations is not authorized. Please ensure all messes or accidental spills are completely cleaned up to deter 'critters'.

"New signs, explaining our Food and Drink policy, have been posted in the public areas of both the East and West Wings as well as the Book and Periodical Stacks."
